Home Remedies for Tooth Ache
- Hot water or a ice bag on either side of the face gives relief in toothache
- Clove oil is a great home remedies for a toothache. Apply 2-3 drops of clove oil on affected tooth 2-3 times a day
- Mix 5 ml of clove oil, eucalyptus oil, menthol, and water. Use it for gargling
- Paste prepared out of 1-2 clove of garlic and salt could be applied on affected tooth for fast relief
- Onion piece could also be placed on the affected part
- Apply olive oil to the tooth that is decaying in order to reduce the pain. It also removes tooth infection
- One can put a garlic clove along with rock salt on the tooth that is paining for relief
- One can chew leaves from a guava tree as it will provide relief from toothache
- Apply a mixture of quarter teaspoonful of common salt and a pinch of powdered pepper on the tooth that is paining
- One can chew fresh spinach leaves to make the gums strong. It also prevents decaying of the tooth
- One can place an ice pack on the cheek to reduce the pain
- Wheat grass juice is also good for toothache and decaying tooth
- One can pour vanilla extract
- Mix clove oil and a pinch of powdered pepper and place it on the aching tooth for relief from pain
- Chew raw onion for 3 minutes. It will kill all the harmful germs in the mouth
- Prepare a paste of the bay berry bark with some vinegar and apply on the problematic tooth
- One must restrict intake of sugar for any tooth problems
- Boil 5-6 cloves in a cup of water with 2 inch sized bark of the Margosa tree. After straining the content, store it in the fridge. Apply this decoction to the affected tooth. It will provide relief from the awful toothache
- Have good amount of raw fruits and vegetables in your diet
- Mix mustard powder as well as turmeric powder and apply the mix on the affected tooth. It is helpful in curing all teeth problems
- Gargle with hydrogen peroxide after every meal to get rid of germs the primary cause of toothache
- Boil 5 grams of peppermint in a cup of water with a pinch of salt. Have it for toothache and other pain relief
- Heat some asafoetida in lime juice and apply it with cotton swab on the affected tooth
- Vitamin C derived from lime is good for teeth

Causes of Tooth Ache
The major causes of tooth ache is decay of teeth due to the bad eating habits like indulgence in foods that are bad for teeth which includes sweets, ice-creams, sour things, items with heavy sugar and soft drinks. The sugar is broken down to acids, which are present in the mouth cavity. These acids react with the calcium present in the enamel which results in tooth decay and erosion of teeth.

Symptoms of toothache
Toothache could occur during some part of the day or through out the day and night continually. It depends mostly on the amount of decay or damage caused.
